Columns: Cover-Alls

Tired of staring at those ugly metal support poles in your basement? Known as Lolly (or Lally) Columns, they provide structural support to overhead joists and beams. These Lally Column Covers have a stainable wood veneer (offered in Cherry, Maple and Red Oak) and come with top and bottom trim pieces.

If you want to save about $16, you can opt for the paint grade Lally Column Cover. The covers are halved for easy installation and will fit columns from 3-1/2" to 4-1/2" diameter.

The column halves are joined together using biscuits (provided) and glue (not included).

Lally column covers are $160 (wood) and $144 (paint grade) (April 2006).
