This decorative column looks good, installs easily and costs 30 to 70% less than many architectural columns, because it's made of PVC pipe.

Prices range from $49.95 - $127 for this column kit, which includes a Tuscan style base and cap for PVC pipes. The kits are available for 8-5/8" - 12-3/4" (outside diameter) PVC pipe (which you supply). Fits IPS or SDR35 PVC pipe.

This PVC system is not intended for structural support, however the hollow core does allow for the installation of wood or steel support posts.After assembly and installation, the base, cap and PVC pipe, can be painted with an oil-based primer and finish coat (October 2004).
