Countertops: Kitchen glass

Reviewed by:
Rosemary Thornton
For a departure from conventional countertop materials, consider adding a glass surface to your kitchen. It's easy to clean, can be cut into almost any size or shape, and can be etched, sandblasted, grooved and colored.

During fabrication, the material is cut with waterjets so any size opening can be created. Undermount sinks can be used (with special bracketing). The counters are tempered (for hardening) but are still prone to scratches. Sizes of 5' by 10' are available in thickness of 1/4", 1/2" 3/4" and 1".
