This German-engineered dishwasher features leading-edge techhnology for cleaner dishes and energy savings. The Aqua-Sensor constantly inspects wash water and adds clean water when needed, which saves about 1-1/4 gallons per load. Uniquely-shaped spray arms create water streams that never interfere with one another, maximizing cleaning potential. An interior, self-cleaning filter prevents particulate matter from being recirculated in the wash water. If you're washing a small load, you can use choose the "HalfLoad" wash option, which uses only the upper basket, saving water and energy. A full cycle for a normal load uses a mere 3.6 gallons of water. Price is $1,269 (December 2004).
