With its oak or mahogany grain, Masonites Barrington entry door looks like wood but is durable fiberglass. The textured surface is easy to finish, says the manufacturer, adding that fiberglass doors dont dent or rust, and resist warping and splitting.
Stiles are made from engineered wood with stainable hardwood edges that match the texture of material on the facings. Doors have polyurethane foam cores for energy efficiency and a rot-resistant bottom rail.
Doors are available in sizes from 3' x 6'8" to 3'6" x 8' with either brass or antique black caming and several glass styles. Side lites also are available in widths of 1' and 1'2". In November 2004, a 3' by 6'8" door with a decorative glass panel cost about $2,200.
