Wool baize is a durable, thick fabric similar to felt that has been around for hundreds of years. Today, it's used primarily for billard table cloth. In the late 1800s, it was used as a lining for display cases, sideboards, silverware drawers and kitchen doors (for sound insulation). This contemporary baize fabric is 75% wool and 25% nylon and it's offered in dark green, navy blue, red and burgundy. Width is 6' and length is unlimited. Price is about $70 per square yard.
