French Doors: Shelter in a storm

French doors can open up a room to the outside, but many homeonwers fear that it will also open their home to damage from storms. Weather Shield's LifeGuard windows and doors were created in response to changing building codes in hurricane prone areas. The manufacturer claims that doors in this line reduce the likelihood of an impact fracture caused by windborne debris. The doors meet or exceed new building codes in much of the southeast, and feature impact resistant glazing and corrosion resistant hardware.
