Gardening: Cup and Saucer Vine

Reviewed by:
Rosemary Thornton
Velvety purple flowers and green bracts resemble cups and saucers -- the knick name of this heirloom flowering vine.

Cobea Scandens was introduced in this country in 1792, and is now propagated and cultivated at a nursery in Maine. As it matures, its color will change a bit.

This annual plant (does not return after winter) is sold in single 4" pots.
