The Glacier is an economical solution for those who want a stylish mantel without the higher cost of natural wood. The mantel is made of primed MDF (medium density fiberboard), which is made from wood fibers. The design features grooved detailing around the firebox framing as well as interesting molding along the top of the mantel. The material is durable and scratch and dent resistant. The mantel also is available in paint grade poplar, red oak and other woods.

Glacier Mantel is priced from $313 to $359 (May 2007).
