Hand-cut glass mosaics are a shimmering new take on the standard hex tile.

The 1 3/4" Tessera tiles come in more than 40 colors, including iridescent and non-iridescent finishes. Sold in sheets, they retail for about $30 to $40 per square foot (Sept. 2004).
