Hand Tools: Stronghold beltless set

Reviewed by:

Renovating a house often means carrying a variety of tools for both framing and finish work up a ladder or to the top level of staging. The Stronghold Beltless system from Occidental Leather has enough pockets to accommodate just about everything, including a tape measure, Speed Square, cats paw, a hammer and several kinds of fasteners.

A number of internal pockets handle nail sets, screw drivers tips and other easy-to-lose tools, allowing them to be located quickly when theyre needed.

Unlike conventional tool belts, this system is supported by a pair of padded suspenders instead of a heavy belt, making it more comfortable for heavy loads and less constricting. The Stronghold Beltless set was available on line in September 2004 for about $170.
