Available in solid brass, copper or stainless steel, this farmhouse kitchen sink could outlast both you and your house. Columbia Farm Sink price range is $3,800 to $6,000 (April 2006). Dimensions: 28" x 17" x 8".
Choose from different finishes (satin, polished or antiqued) and textures (smooth or hammered). For a more formal look, the sink can be plated with a satin nickel finish.
Described by the manufacturer as a "living finish," no sealant is applied, allowing the sink to age naturally. The brass sink will become darker with time and the copper finish will develop light and dark areas.
After a period of non-use, the copper may get a little green around the edges, but the oxidation can be removed with a swipe of a damp cloth. This sink can be installed as a drop-in sink or undermounted.
