The vergeboard on this Flying Circle gable decoration is made of 3/4" pine and the beaded rails are made from poplar. The gable ornament is 74" across at its widest point and because of its weight, the manufacturer recommends using temporary cross bracing to hoist it into place.

This gable decoration fits roofs that are pitched at 10/12 or 12/12. If you need help with the ciphering to figure your roof's pitch, their Web site has helpful information. This company offers other gable ornaments that are hinged at the center and can fit a wider range of roof pitches. Price (for Flying Circle) is $183.99 plus $8 for shipping packaging (August 2004).
