Oil Stoves: Fired Up

Reviewed by:
Rosemary Thornton
Arched glass doors on the front of this high-efficiency cast-iron oil stove provide an expansive view of the flickering flames inside. A stainless steel burner and reflective mirror increase the unit's efficiency and also enhance the flames' appearance.

Rated at 85% efficient, this stove produces 7,900 BTUs (on low) to 27,300 BTUs (highest setting). It requires a 4" or 5" top or rear vent and burns No. 2 or No. 1 fuel oil.
