You've painstakenly stripped all that old woodwork -- so why ruin your efforts by using a cheap brush for the finish? This professional series Syntox Sprig brush will cost you more than the cheap consumer brushes. On the other hand, it won't leave stray bristles and brush marks in your varnish or urethane finish.
Syntox is shed resistant and according to the manufacturer will last at least 5 times longer than ox hair brushes. Brushes can be used with water or solvent based clear finishes. Straight edge is shown, angular for sashes is also available. These brushes were selliing for around $20 in various online outlets (September 2004).
