One challenge in adding plumbing fixtures to an old house is figuring out how to properly vent them. This Sure-Vent Air Admittance Valve provides ventilation and allows the plumbing system to breathe, without permitting sewer gases to enter the living space.

It comes with a limited lifetime warranty and complies with international plumbing codes. Check with your locale first; not all municipalities allow this type of vent.
