Power Tools: Right-angle helper

Reviewed by:
The Old House Web
This 18-volt variable speed right angle drill/driver replaces DeWalt's earlier, less powerful models. The multi-grip rubber trigger allows you to hold the tool just the way you need to -- a plus when working in odd or narrow spaces in an old house. Powered by DEWALT's 18 V battery pack, it offers cranks out a maximum of 310 inch pounds of torque. Speed ranges from 0-1,500 rpm for increased user flexibility. Variable speed and reversing gives more speed and accuracy control. The drill and battery retail for about $165 (March 2005).
