Paradigm claims its vinyl windows are built for a lifetime of airtight performance and easy use. Fusion-welded, multi-chamber vinyl frames have factory-applied flat and brick-mold casings. Interior jamb extensions are clear pine or primed wood. Windows feature a tilting sash to make cleaning easier.

The Versatec double-hung windows have a molded J-channel that can accommodate either vinyl or wood siding and a sill bulb seal made of EPDM (a synthetic rubber material) for an effective weather seal. A full screen is available. The company says its stainless steel constant-force balance makes for easy operation.

Windows are available in a variety of sizes and with a number of glazing options, including clear, low-e and argon-filled glass panels. In November 2004, a 3'x 5'3" double-hung window cost about $280.
