Restoration Hardware: Skeleton keys

The North Carolina-based blacksmith company of Kayne and Son Custom Hardware repairs and restores old locksets and ward (or skeleton) keys. Do you have a lock or key that you want reproduced? They can forge new items from old pieces. They can also make replacement keys for old locksets. In addition, they can restore and modify old locksets.

Also available are reproduction mortised passage locks (with solid brass casings) with working skeleton keys. Multiple locks can be keyed alike.

For privacy, you can purchase a Colonial era reproduction "latch lock pin" for the mortised lockset. The pin prevents entry by disabling the lock mechanism.
