The classic stucco look of this house was achieved with fiber cement vertical panels from James Hardie. Hardipanel has the same durability and ease of maintenance as the company's popular lap siding, as well as structural strength. Combine it with Harditrim planks for a board and batten look.
The vertical siding is also available in smooth and wood grained patterns. The siding is pre-primed and ready for paint. Reisistant to mildew and fungus, Hardipanel vertical siding comes with a 50-year transferable limited warranty. Panels are 5/16" thick and weigh 2.3 pounds per square foot. Dimensions are 4 x 8 feet, 4 x 9 feet or 4 x 10 feet. Panels may be nailed as with traditional wood products. While more expensive than vinyl siding, the product is less expensive than synthetic stucco and brick.
