Space Heaters: Safeheat fan heater

When tucked in a corner or beneath your desk, this space heater will keep your feet (and your workspace) warm. The Italian-designed electric heater has two settings -- 1500-watt high setting and a 650-watt low setting. An adjustable thermostat allows you to fine-tune the temperature setting, and the fan can be used alone in the summer for ventilation.

The fans body swivels manually from side to side and also tilts up and down. A safety device automatically shuts off the unit and sounds an alarm if the heater accidentally tips over or is covered by fabric. An anti-freeze setting automatically turns the heater on when the temperature hits 44 degrees. In October 2004, this heater, model DFH 233, was available for about $25.
