Sealing drafty windows in old houses takes on special urgency in times of high energy costs. This do-it-yourself inside storm window kit might help.

The kit includes rubber strip magnets (similar to magnets used in refrigerator doors), trim tape, adhesive and steel strips. One kit has enough material for about seven average-sized windows.

Add your own plexiglass (1/8" recommended), and install. The manufacturer promises that assembly and installation is quick and painless.
