Switch Plates: Mirror, mirror on the wall

Reviewed by:
Rosemary Thornton
Mirrored switchplates were first popular in the 1920s and 30s and appeared again as an accessory for mirrored walls in the 1960s and 70s.

These mirrored plates are offered in frosted glass or plain and have a beveled edge. Matching accessories (such as outlet covers and grilles) are also available in mirrored glass.

These switchplates are slightly oversized, to hide imperfections in paint or plaster.

  • Mirrored switchplates range in price from $10 to $80, depending on size and configuration (March 2006).
