If you're looking for a hardwood floor that isn't your grandfather's red oak, consider this American Cherry pre-finished flooring. The factory applied finish is durable and reduces fumes and dust during installation. "Micro-beveled" spaces between the boards give a strong, tight fit.

The flooring starts at $2.89 per square foot and is one of several less common hardwoods offered by this company. Others include chestnut, black walnut, beech, birch, rosewood, Brazilian cherry, and Australian cypress.
