Wood Floors: Earned Patina

Reviewed by:
Rosemary Thornton
The patina of naturally aged wooden floors is not easily replicated. These plank floors earned that patina by surviving countless decades. Salvaged from old barns in Ohio and Pennsylvania, these planks are milled to 3/4" thicknesses, with widths of 2" to 12".

Board lengths vary from 2 feet to 8 feet with a tongue-and-groove or a straight edge. Choose from oak, pine, walnut, cherry, maple, ash and beech. Age spots, nail and worm holes and other irregualrities add to the charm of this century-old wood. Matching moldings are also available.
