Wood Stains: Linseed oil and pigments

Made with linseed oil and naturally ground pigments, this oil-based interior stain is offered in 18 ready-mixed colors and 54 custom colors. Coverage is about 100 square feet per quart and it's offered in 1/2 pint, quart and one-gallon sizes.

This stain is recommended for use a variety of hard and soft woods, including oak, pine, fir, birch, aspen, maple, cypress, mahogany and redwood.

Cabot Interior Wood Stain is $6 per half pint; $30 per gallon (July 2006).
