Victorian Gingerbread

One of the hallmarks of Victorian era architecture is Victorian gingerbread. This term refers to the ornate, intricate, often fussy trim work around gables, porches, and doors. Original Victorian gingerbread is subject to rot, cracking, and peeling. Modern wood treatments as well as new plastic and poly materials reproduce the Victorian gingerbread look without the problems.
