Not sure on the donut thing.. but is there anyway you can convince the people selling the house to LEAVE the orignal stuff for the new owner who may one day want to restore the house to its original state? if not in the Garage maybe it can be put in the attic? If that doesnt work, where is the hosue...

We signed "faithfully restored by.... or something similiar in areas as we restored them...<S>kind of leaving our mark with out being noticed.
