I believe the PO once removed put the current seamless gutters on for about $1200 10 years ago. Even at $10 a foot, that comes out to only about 120 feet, so I dunno. At $16 a foot, that's less than 100 feet. So the math isn't adding up. yikes Al Copper just as material is 3 times the price of Alum...

BobG, Yes, I do box gutters. The problem with travel is trying to drag a 10' , couple thousand pound floor sheet metal brake to the job site. And then driving back to Ohio to get the tools I forgot. :D. We had a machine which formed the aluminum or copper over a mandrel to shape it. No brake needed...

The payscale never relates to the COL directly. COL will always outpace pay in those areas.

Used to. Gave it up for the most part. Still have the tools that I accumulated doing it. Nowdays, if I wanted an old car, I'd get an old car, and slap a modern drivetrain in it. I'm no purist by any means.

Replace the drywall with concrete board glued and screwed to the studs (and add bracing if need be), and then go from there.
