All of our "stained" trim is actually pine painted to look like oak. We had lived here for awhile before we noticed that it was actually painted on!

Rotted Sill - replacement material?

We discovered a small leak behind the drywall yesterday in our bathroom, and we are certain that it's coming from the window that is in very, very poor shape. The sill is missing a large chunk in one corner due to rot, and much of the rest of the sill is sponge-y. Is replacing the sill a good option...

Argh, we are on month 8 of no showers. All we have left to do is seal the tile and we just can't seem to get around to it!

We're working away on our bathroom reno that we started in February, but it's starting to come together! I finally got the original rimlock back in working order on a freshly stripped, sanded, and painted door.

GothicHome...is it Hydro One where you live? That's who we have, and we assumed it would be a lot more than 2 grand to have this done.
