Here are a couple pictures of the house I just closed on last month. I don't know what year it was built in, all of the paperwork I've seen has estimated the age to be "Built in 1900." There are houses in the downtown area ranging in age from 1812 and onward (our Historic District, where I'm located, is 130 blocks of historic structures).

Sorry I forgot to answer your question. Yes. That was vinyl siding we removed. We also removed vinyl replacement windows, and installed old restored windows.

Great work in bringing back the character of a fine old house. I like to compare it to artwork, only it's a bigger canvas to work on....

I agree. The old houses are indeed works of art. I enjoy the process of bringing it back, and learning along the way.
