Oh man, that is a cool house. Not exactly my preferred style, but a GREAT place. A bit out of my price range tho, by about a million and half.

Chris..that is a cool house, probably a couple of million $$$ though. Funny some of the furniture and fittings are really
ornate, Louis 15th ish ( sorry forgot my Roman numerals)
putting the 18 back in my 1872 Victorian farmhouse.

yeah... supposedly some of those lighting fixtures, the mantle and big mirror came out of the Hearst mansion. They came with the house when my friend bought the place. I believe the house has only had three owners. It was the second owner who installed those items in the 1950's/60's.

I agree, not my style either, but it's a cool place.

Kathy, if they ever do start a mid-century-modest forum, please let me know. I think the homes built in the 1940's are the best. Lots of charm and modern floor plans make them a good choice. Thanks, Amy
