My son In law is in the process of ripping all of the old tin off and we have found some really old tin with scallops on it under the other. Does anyone know how old this is?

I don't know anything about it, but it sure is interesting.

Too bad the spam got so bad. Some of us have been spending time at the new community for folks with a love of old houses at wavyglass.org

Hi Bob, I'm originally from Lawrenceburg, but my family moved to Shelbyville in the late 70s. You have a lovely home. You must be close to Shannon Funeral Home and maybe to Mary Helen Miller.

I've been in Lexington since coming to Transy in '83. Just purchased a 1901 Victorian on N Limestone. Wish me luck.

We finished our old house restoration (2007-20014). During those 7 years, we've scraped, primed, and painted the house twice. The first time was a light sage green (Valspar), and it faded badly. Summer of 2014 we re-painted with Sherwin Williams Super Paint called Oak Moss.

Check out 1000+ photos of our whole house restoration from 2007-2014. http://www.1893victorianfarmhouse.blogspot.com

My new "1920something" home in Lorain, Ohio. Cant put my finger on a build year or style. Recently installed reclaimed canvas awnings from a closed Boston Market restaurant! I thought they went well with the house, after being inspired by the old picture.

Thx
Vinnie

Built in 1919, purchased in January of this year, this place is going to be my project for the next few years. I can't wait to replace the roof with something more fitting as well as have the wood exterior painted. I am debating on halve round gutters as well. Did I mention there is still cedar siding under that awful fake stuff in the gables. :)

This beauty will be ours in 1 month god willing once we close... The brick is in such great condition! The roof still slate...
My wonder is what might have been the trim/soffits before the metal was installed.. :( i got a small peak under one part that was missing and it looked like wood was still in there!
