Beloperone guttata - Shrimp Plant


Shrimp plant may get too large to be a good house plant. Grow it in a south or east window, or, full sun to bright light. Shrimp plant drops leaves if the soil gets too dry. Use any house plant fertilizer according to label directions. Ideal temperatures are 70 degrees during the day and 60 degrees at night. Repotting is done in March. Grow shrimp plant outside during the summer.

Propagation is by stem tip cuttings taken at any time during the year.
