Aphids
These soft bodied insects suck sap from leaves causing distorted growth and stunted plants. Use sprays of Diazinon(10) or Pyrethrin(0).
Beet Webworm
This is a yellow to green worm with a black stripe and many black spots on the back. The insect feeds on and rolls and folds the leaves then webs them together. No chemical control is listed.
Leaf Miner
The small larva live in, and mine out, the middle of the leaves. The tunnels are slender, long, winding, and light in color. Use sprays of Diazinon(10).
Flea Beetle
These small beetles eat the leaves, giving them a shotholed appearance. Use Diazinon(10) or Sevin(14).
