South American mahogany, often associated with high end furniture, is also an ideal material for your backyard deck. With its deep reddish brown color and natural resistance to decay, it's both beautiful and long-lasting.

Properly maintained, a mahogany deck can last up to three decades. According to the company selling this product, it requires yearly treatment with a proper water repellent.
