For a traditional looking door that does not require the traditional maintenance, look at Peachtree's Prado French patio door. The galvanized steel door comes pre-primed and ready for paint, or in a factory-applied white finish. Grilles never need maintenance, as they are between the glass. The 24-gauge galvanized steel skins are wrapped around a polyurethane core that Peachtree says won't crack, split, rot or warp.

Choose several different glass options and antique or bright brass hardware. Doors can swing in or out. Sizes range from a single door of 2'6" x 6'8" to a double configuration of 8'11" x 6'8".
