The average slate roofing shingle is about 500 million years old. Because slate is a naturally-occurring, hard and dense stone, it can give decades of trouble-free service.
Camara Slate quarries and fabricates slate roofing tiles in several sizes, thicknesses and colors. Tiles have three classifications: unfading, with minimal change when exposed to weather; semi-weathering, with 10-25% change when exposed; and weathering, with changes of 30% or more when weathered.
Color options include mottled green and purple, sea green, Vermont gray, red, green, purple and black.
