| Though nobody knows exactly when it was built, the Fernandez-Llambias House, right, was already extant in 1763, when Spain ceded Florida to Great Britain. ![]() | One of the best ways to see St. Augustine is to park the car, grab a map, and walk. The older parts of the city are compact and easy to navigate. Plus, if you like old houses, it's hard to make a wrong turn. This row of houses is along Avenida Menendez, which overlooks Matanzas Bay, the city's waterfront. |
